Description:

The Olympic Drive Non-Motorized Improvements project consists of pedestrian and bicycle improvements on Olympic Drive located near the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal. Proposed design features included in the original grant application provide for a non-motorized pathway and/or sidewalk widening, accessibility improvements, bike lanes or sharrows, painted bike boxes, center divider curbing, street lighting, signal modifications and landscaping.

Current Activity:

The drawing below shows trees to be removed as part of project right-of-way widening. The trees to be removed have been marked in the field with green paint. The new right-of-way line has been marked with pink stakes and with pink paint on trees where trees are close to the line. You will also see numbered metal tags on the trees that correspond to the arborist report. A narrow path along the right-of-way line has been cleared starting at the intersection with Harborview Drive. You can also access the path from near Waypoint Park or from the Waypoint Woods Trail.
