The Water Resource program monitors, analyses and disseminates information about the island’s water resources. The program also oversees storm water education and storm system maintenance and regulatory compliance activities to meet the City’s municipal storm water permit.

Water Resources Program Mission:

To preserve, protect and enhance the City’s water resources to ensure that future generations will have a sufficient quantity of high quality water to support life and natural habitat on the island.
To act in coordination with citizens, other natural resource agencies and local, tribal, state and federal governments.
